Titan Pennsuco

The team at Titan Pennsuco contacted AirStream in late 2007, as concerns arose about the quality and reliability of their raw mill fan. After initial testing, AirStream delivered a turnkey solution that provided an increased wear life and improved efficiency.

Roseburg Forest Products

Roseburg Forest Products overcame costly maintenance and low efficiency by upgrading their Boiler ID fan with AirStream Systems' custom solution, resulting in a significant efficiency boost and zero maintenance costs for over 3.5 years.

Nucor Steel-Texas

Nucor Steel-Texas completed a meltshop baghouse fan blade project using Airstream’s backward-inclined, high-efficiency fan blades. The fan blade replacement resulted in significant operating cost savings, along with increased flow, decreased fan wear, minimal housing modifications, reduced power consumption, and less maintenance.

LAFARGEHOLCIM HOLLY HILL

In October 2013, the cement plant in Holly Hill, South Carolina completed a successful upgrade of their Kiln ID fan rotor. The new rotor was modeled in the existing fan housing to deliver an increased flow at continuous temperatures of 500⁰C (932⁰F). The high temperature fan capabilities enabled the plant to significantly reduce cooling water, natural gas and electrical power consumption. The upgrade also resolved hard build-up on fan surfaces, wear issues (holes in centerplate) and low efficiency.

Lafarge Exshaw

In late 2005, Lafarge contacted AirStream because its Exshaw plant was experiencing issues with an inefficient kiln fan. AirStream worked with Lafarge to provide a solution that decreased power consumption and reduced wear rate significantly.

Lafarge Bath

Lafarge’s Bath plant began preparations for two environmentally-beneficial projects. Among the projects’ bottlenecks were two identical kiln ID fans with radial-tip-blade impellers and variable speed drives. In 2012, AirStream worked with Lafarge to complete two new backward curve-blade rotors designed to reduce energy consumption and increase capacity.
