Ciment Québec
Ciment Québec approached AirStream in 2005 after experiencing production bottlenecks due to wear issues with their fan equipment. After initial on-site testing, AirStream engineered an innovative concept that made it possible to reuse the existing fan housing, requiring only that the impeller and inlet core be changed. This solution increased capacity, reduced power consumption, and had a two to three times longer wear life than the previous fan.
Buzzi Unicem
Buzzi Unicem Greencastle’s 5000-hp kiln ID fan was experiencing a high wear rate due to a high dust environment, resulting in costly repairs every few months. After a thorough assessment, our team of engineers worked with Buzzi Unicem to provide a custom solution to improve efficiency and reliability.
Alberta
The mill located in Alberta, Canada completed a fan upgrade project with AirStream's aerodynamic rotor technology. The fan upgrade project reused the existing fan housing, motor, bearings and coupling, and reduced the need for maintenance shutdowns to clean the fan from every 3 months to once per year.
